iDriveSure periodically checks the vehicle speed against the post speed limit and determines if the driver is speeding excessively. When a driver occasionally exceeds the posted limit, iDriveSure does not necessarily mark it as a speed violation event. Instead, iDriveSure is designed to identify and capture a regular speeding pattern over pre-established threshold (a pre-set tolerance level) based on the posted limit and mark it as a speeding event. Exceeding suggested speed limits is known to be one of the most common causes of motor accidents.
